I've got a friends whos willing to sell me Diamante Rear brake calipers for dirt cheap.

He says he thinks they are like 6mm bigger and a direct bolt, but i can't find any documentation on this. I see all the info about front upgrades to a dual piston caliper, but still have the rears in question.

any help would be greatly appreciate, thanks.

Sorry I can't help you with the Diamante brakes, but I do know that Evo's rear calipers are a direct bolt on. Too bad they aren't cheap...

I also have no idea about the diamonte brakes but even for dirt cheap I wouldn't worry about it. I've driven cars with the stop tech front brakes and the stock rears and they stop perfectly. And as stated if you really want an upgrade the evo ones do bolt right on. I did this to my car but I wouldn't have even bothered except for the fact that I got all four evo calipers and rotors for $400.

No spacers required, I had to shorten the mounting bolts or they would hit the rotor.

Awesome responses guys. I think i'm gonna hunt down the 2 caliper front stuff and see how well it works for me. I don't plan on racing or anything yet, just trying to make some simple improvements.

That's a great place to start. The 2 piston GSX brakes with good pads and slotted rotors worked awesome for me even when repeatedly slowing down from 130mph plus on the road course.

Thats great to know. I'm basicly trying to make a very fun street car that would be a decent autocross/road race car. I wanna do all the basic suspension mods, sway bars, brakes, bushings, and shoot for a hair over 300whp eventually

From first hand experience, the first upgrade I did to my GST was GSX front calipers with Porterfield carbon/kevlar pads, Powerslot rotors, SS lines, and Motul 600c fluid. Those bit hard. I eventually stepped up to the EVO brakes front and rear, and it's just overkill on a street car (which is why I did it LOL) The only reason I say this is, if you're going to upgrade your brakes, don't worry about the rears until you upgrade your single piston front brakes.
