radiator fan fuse

today i was driving inner-city (of course, a long ways from home, isnt that how it always works?) and all of the sudden steam rolled out from under the hood n my temp gauge shot up so i pulled up and popped the hood, my top radiator hose had come off. after awhile my friend showed up with a screwdriver n some coolant, we put the hose back on (and got it realllll tight), put all the coolant we had in and got to a gas station to top the coolant off. after topping it off, we noticed the fans werent coming on. in the main fuse block attached to the pos batt terminal, my rad fan fuse was blown so we got to autozone and replaced it, and it started working. after awhile it shut off (presumably because the car cooled off), then we shut the car off. we made sure the coolant system was full, restarted the car, and checked the fuse again. it was blown! at this point i checked the connections i could find and made sure no coolant/water had gotten into them to short them out. everything seemed ok (i blew em out as much as i could with my mouth anyways). we put another fuse in, started it up, ran it for a few minutes to make sure it wouldnt blow again, cranked the heater on full and got it home asap. after getting it home (the temp gauge stayed down fine), i shut it off and checked the fuse. it had blown again. i think maybe its blowing when i shut the car off but i dont know why.

any ideas?

for now i have my ac fan going so the car can at least get me to work and back but id like to get this fixed asap!

any tips where or how?

i unplugged the connector and im letting the car sit overnight, tomorrow we'll try another fuse again hoping whatever it was dried out now

dried it out and its still blowing. seems to be when i shut the car off
