well im cleaning up where all of the wires to the injectors, Map sensor, and whatever else is bolted to the intake manifold. I am going to tuck it underneath intake plenum itself, not underneath the whole manifold like i want to, that'll take too much modding.

My question is, is there any ill effect in cutting the map sensor wires and extending them via wire and butt splice? Because i know butt splices add resistance and im worried about the map signal getting messed up.

Also can i do the same and extend the injector wires??

Thanks, any input or an idea of something easier, tell me about it!!

Ive always read that butt connections on anything less then 8v is a bad idea due to the resistance issue. The Neg pulse that tells the injector to fire can also be effected.

So, in short I was always told to run new wire from harness to sensor. Never had any issues doing it that way, just make sure you use the same gauge wire.

There are kits online for "Re-pinning" you harness/ecu/whatever electrical connection you want to fabricate. I would suggest getting one prior to the tuck, the tools it comes with will help ensure nothing gets damaged in the process.

Good luck, wire tucks often times create problems that wouldnt be there otherwise.
