Quick question on a SS oil feed line

Hey, I was looking at installing a ss oil feed line on my 2G that runs from my oil filter housing to my (still in the mail) Evo 16G. I do have one question though, what do I do with the oil curnet oil feed line? Do I block it off some how, or what do I do with it?

you should be replacing your stock feed line...so get it the hell outta there.

Yes, I am replacing it, I just need to know what to do with the stock feed line. If I remove it, how do I block off the hole in the block? Is there a plug I can get? If so what size is it?

Just use a short bolt and crush washer to seal off the hole in the head. Look at the threads on the original banjo bolt that you remove from the head. Make sure the new bolt you plug the hole with does not protrude further than the threads of the original banjo bolt or it may not seal properly.

depending where you got the ss line from it should come w/ a bolt to plug that hole. I got mine from forced performance and it didnt come w/ one. Hope you didnt get it from there

Go to the bone yard and find a junk 7 bolt motor and take the plug out of the head and use it on your motor.

As far as I know, 7bolts (or 2gs at least) have the oil feed lines coming from the oil filter housing already. You will just be replacing it. There is a bolt already in the block where a 6bolt oil feed line would come from.

You just replace the stock one completely. It already runs from the oil filter housing to the turbo. You'll most likely trash it anyway trying to take it apart.

The oil comes from the oil filter housing already so there is no need to block off anything on the head.

Few things...

-on a 2g it comes from the oil filter housing.

-if you buy the RRE hacker/tweaker kit or you just buy the SS line they sell, it comes with all the fittings you'll need to go from the housing to the banjo bolt on your new turbo

-rip that old line out! I cut mine at the half way point when I was putting in my big 16g just to make life easier
