ok so mine ac belt slipped off of the crank pully. so my question is can i cut it without hurting my power steering?? will my car still drive the same? i never use my ac so im not worried about that just my power steering.
thanks

Is the AC belt also wrapped around the powersteering pulley? You should be able to see it if it is. I ask because My motor might have a different setup and I don't want to give you false information and you be with out power steering haha.

The a/c belt is driven by the crankshaft only and doesnt have any effect on the power steering or water pump. Its okay to cut it off and be fine.

Yep I cut mine off before. It was freighed and making a ticking noise when the freighed peice would slap around on stuff. It was winter so I cut it off untill i needed AC.

Agreed with RLPerformance. The power steering belt runs only to the water pump. The water pump and alternator are run by the same belt. The AC belt is it's own belt running towards the firewall side of the engine.
