Quick question about install

Im installing my afc now and i have a quick question. I know for like hte parking badge on my car for the school i attend i had to wash the window, wipe, place decal on and let dry....
well im installing the afc behind the driver side vanity mirror, kinda on the inside winshield where the bar tint is and i was wondering Should i wash that before i put it on to make sure it sticks? If so soap and water sound good? How long should i hold it to make sure it sticks?

Double sided 3M tape should work just fine. Its some strong, long hold stuff. You might as well wipe it down concidering that that is an area that usaully goes unnoticed.... but up to you. Good luck,
