I am about to buy dsmlink and want to know how much my choices matter for rev limiter, launch, idle and etc. Can I change these later? or are they set in stone. Thanks.

Those will be the default settings that are burned into the Eprom chip. They can all be changed, but if you lose battery power or something, those are the settings it would go back to.
