Quick 1g --2g exhaust question

Well I was talking with a friend of mine..And he knows a guy with a 98 fwd eclipse...with a full apexi n1 exhaust..I have a 1990 fwd eclipse..He said if his exhaust will fit my car he will sell it to me for 50$ and take my stock system,,But we dont know if they can be switched ..Will his apexi n1 exhaust fit my 1g fwd and will my 1g stock fit his 98 fwd...I think this is going to be a no...Someone tell me yes!!!!

just look at any rear shot of a DSM. The exhausts exit on the opposite sides on 1g's and 2g's. So no way would it work.

1g's exit on the right...
2g's exit on the left...
