Question about strut assembly

Hey guys i bought a set of tokico HP struts, and springs, during the install I was able to extract everything from the front strut that i needed ( cup, bumpstop) by simply using some wd- 40 and a chissle, now on the rear the rust is horribal and it was impossible to get everything off without cutting it, so I did, now my ? is, do i need the metal sleeve that holds the cup on the strut? thanks

This is for the front, but is that what your talking about?

The metal sleeve that is before the threaded part (the part that likes to rust up)

if your refering to that than yes you do, but you can just goto a auto store, the sell you the all those pieces. cost me 25 bucks when i installed my shocks.. its called the strut mounts.

yeah its just a little sleeve, like 2in in length

good. go for it. yea the $25 is for all those parts in the picture i posted. but if you really need just the metal cylinder and can get it seperately go for it...
