Question about mirrors

Just wondering how interchangeable the rearview mirror of a spyder is with the hardtop. Also, if anyone can tell me how to take of the spyder mirror, I'd appreciate it

Your rearview mirror has the dome lights in it will need to find a rearview mirror with the same thing, if not you will not have your lights. To remove pull towards the top of the windshield. It may not be easy.

best place to find one would be a car with a sun roof. they had the lights in the mirror. also i think there is a screw at the base of the mirror where it mounts to the windshield. just need to loosen it a little and it should come right off, if not slide it up.

There should be a small hole in the bottom of the bracket that is mounted to the windshield. It is in front or on the bottom and kinda hard to see. Take a small allen wrench, the kind that have the short 90deg bend at one end of the wrench, and push it into the hole. Carefully tap the allen wrench into the hole and it will release the mirror. Don't just pull on it you might break the windshield.

Thanks for the reply's guys. The reason I ask is not to get another mirror from a dsm, but I was going to get one an aftermarket one. It didn't say if it was for the hardtop or the spyder, so I was wondering if the mirrors are mounted differently on the different models.
