I'm trying to pull my turbo so when my replacement gets here I'll just have to put everything back together, but I'm having trouble with two bolts. The first one is one of the bolts that attach the turbo to the manifold, I cant get it to move at all, the other ones broke loose fine. The other one is on the back of the O2 housing, liike before the other ones broke loose fine. I have sprayed all of them down with wd-40 repeatedly and I have tried everything I can think of to get hem loose but no luck. If anyone has any suggestions they would be appreciated.

#1 USE PB BLASTER... WD 40 is crap and is water based....

SO USE PB BLaster... spray it and 20 mins later spray it again... repeat until it comes loose.... what we do a lot when working on our engines is we spray it and sometimes leave it over night after a couple of coats and it will be loose, but most of the time it comes loose after 1 - 2 hrs.

Alright, thanks guys. Now I guess I gotta bum a ride to the parts store for some PB blaster and look around here for someting to use fo a breaker bar.

Thanks

Personally I would put it on Car Ramps & pull the Radiator & Fans as an Assembly prior to doing this job...

Put the Bolts that came out "easily" from Mani to Housing back in & button them up tight - & THEN wail on the Tough one.

Pull as an assembly then break the Turbo & 02 Housing down on a Bench - You need good wrenches & a good Hammer. Tap & clean EVERY threaded hole thoroughly & Re-assemble all with Anti-Seize so you never go thru this again.

I just took my T-25 out yesterday and I did have to take off one radiator fan so I could reach everything.

PB Blaster works great. I just had one broken bolt, and that was the one that I tried to take off before I got the PB blaster.

Make sure and be carfull of the oil feed line. I just broke mine and it was a nasty little sucker.

I actually did a turbo swap last weekend. Heres what i did:
1)PB blast the crap out of all the bolts and let the motor idle for a min or 2 then let cool.
2)Take out radiator fans (makes things 200% easier)
3)Unbolt DP
4)go to town on all the lines
5)Then Turbo/mani bolts...use a big breaker bar (i used a 1.5" x 4' pipe over a rachet)

Damn it! This thing is giving me ####ing fits! I got some PB blaster yesterday and sprayed everything down a couple of times and let it sit until this morning, I couldnt do anything yesterday because I was at the hospital most of the day with my mom after her knee surgery. I go out this morning and get started on it, first I try to break the bolt loose that holds the turbo to the manifold, I havent taken any of these out I just want them loose when I pull everything out, it finaly came loose but it was a pain in the ass. Next I go after the top bolt on the back side of the O2 housing, it snaps. No big deal cause this turbo is not going back on the car, ever. next I go after the bottom bolt on the O2 housing, I wish this one would just ####ing break but it wont even budge. After getting both hands nice and bloody from my ratchet slipping off of the bolt I decide to take a break, I'll go back out later and try again, hopefully I can get it off my replacement turbo is here and I want to be able to drive this car I've had it for a month and I havent driven it since I brought it home.

I dont have a bench or anywhere I could clamp it down or any way to get the O2 sensor out of the housing so I'm trying to get it off without completly removing it.

EDIT: screw it, I'm about to go pull all of it. Thanks.

do you know someone with torches. If you can get some heat on the bolts you might be able to get them out. Propane torch no good. or just grind the heads off the bolts. Im sure you can find other bolts that are not 9 bucks a piece.
