My 90 gsx that i have been post about (blew a headgasket). Well i pulled it off today, pulled the exhaust/intake manifolds with the head. There was a break on the gasket leading to one of the coolant holes. Near the far right cylinder (as you look from the front. I would like a picture because that cylinder's gasket is not perfectly round, about 9-12 oclock it just goes straight. The metal ring on the gasket that is, is that normal?
You'd better have fair knowledge on how to do your timing belt though because you will need to remove that to swap the cams ... or at least release tension if you know how to do that. If you are keeping stock cam gears you can zip tie the belt to them so it doesn't slip but be sure it doesn't slip at the crank or oil pump either. Then just have someone hold the gear tightly while you swap the cam and then bolt the gear to the new cam. Do this for both of them. Not too hard but like I said, you'll need some knowledge on how timing belts work on our cars.
