Anyone else have this turbo? I'm running it and my spool up is really late. 20 psi hits around 5000rpm .. when are you guys hitting full boost at? I'm thinking maybe I have an exhaust leak, but I couldn't find anything. Thanks.

You probably mean boost leak. Check for boost leaks. Is this on the street or on the dyno? You should get 20 psi fairly quick by 4000ish or so on the street.

are you running this turbo? Yea I meant boost leak ( it's a little late ) ... I thought typical spool up was about 4700 or so for this turbo?? I know 4000 is way too soon though.

I have the same one. I thought it was 4200, and less if you have a ported/tubular manifold and 02 housing.

The weird thing is, sometimes my car hits full boost that high-like right now. Whereas I hit fullboost 1k sooner like 2 weeks ago. I've thoroughly checked for leaks and found none.

For me, it's probably a serious tuning issue.

My scm 50 spools up in the low 4k range. I would fully expect the scm to spool up later, probably right before 5k. I assume you are running the t350 wheel.

From the people that I have talked to that are running this turbo full spool can be expected anywhere from 4200-4700 depending on your setup.

That is pretty typical. If you're running a T350 .63 mitsu version, it should spool 20 psi pretty quick. if you're gonan run 30 psi, that'd be like 5k. I can ask a local who has recently dyno'd if I can use his dyno charts as examples. There's one of a 20 psi run/pump gas and a 30 psi/race gas run.

Yea that would be very helpful. Like I said I couldn't find any leaks so I don't know whats wrong. I have basically 8.5:1 compression stuff with the metal headgasket ( so I'm assuming 8:1 maybe? ) .. so it shouldn't be this late I don't think unless I just need a lot of tuning. Oh .. I'm on 1g cams too.
