ATTENTION ALL OWNERS OF THE PROFEC B SPEC II:

I need someone to take the cover off of the unit and take a high-res picture of the circuit board. One of the resistors broke off and i lost it so I can't solder it back in. It is the big silver one right under the power plug. I need the specs of it to buy a new one so my unit will operate corectly. Thanks a lot.

Come on guys I really need someones help on this one. All you have to do is take out 4 screws, take a picture then put it back together. Cake...

I might help you out there. I was thinking of taking it apart anyway to see if I could get the code out. I'm not entirely pleased with how the thing operates and I'm not swapping out yet another EBC.

I won't let this thread die. Someone take a picture of the circuit board you lazy asses. :D

No one willing to help? I feel so unloved, DSMtalk here I come... :thumbdown

I ordered one recently and I am willing to poke around it a bit. Is there anything I need to know about safety toward the boost controller when the circuits are open? I rather not have it damaged. I know next to nothing about electronics too.

Make sure there isn't a power running too it and if you want to be REALLY careful you can wear latex gloves. Just be gentle with the unit and it will be fine.

Seems simple enough, don't force it out or back in. It should come in a couple of days. And is it ok to post it in my gallery as tuners or is it not dsm related, probably is though. If not, I'll email it.

You can attach it right into your post. When you create a new post, use the "upload/edit photos" button, then submit your post. It will then show up in the thread.

AHA!!! Got the pictures in the camera but I don't know how to upload them (my brother's comp.) I'm sure they are over a meg in size and I took the pictures of the one side that has more things attatched. Jeez, my cats sure know how to frustrate me, they kept jumping on the table where I took the thing apart and making me really nervous. And also, this thing is REALLY small, I was expecting something much bigger. I'll post the pics within a day, I just got home not long ago.

Awww, man, I knew my hand was shakey and the pics didn't turn out how I wanted. Hope it helps some. Now for some reason, it says "the document contains no data" when I click on upload. I'll email it to you.
