Alrighty, I confirmed my fears today the Talon has been in a wreck.
The passenger headlight is cracked, and the mount keeping it from wobbling snapped, the weld on the passenger side where the cockpit and engine bay meet is buckled in. The front bumper doesn't sit quite right, the hood doesn't line up perfectly all the way down (gap sizes on each side differ at various points from eachother)
Hatch doesn't sit right when closed either.
In addition to that there's some rusting in the engine bay just above the driver's wheel well area. The rust started underneath the paint and looks pretty bad. A small hole has started in it.
So repairing the car is fine, but is it practical to sink the money into repairs or should I sell it and buy another 2g AWD?
I love the car, mechanically it's fine, interior is in great condition, everything works. Just those problems, not sure how severe it is.
If it helps I can take it back to the body shop and see if the body is still aligned, but I still have no idea what to do about the rusting.
