Here's my problem a few weeks ago i drove my car to my dad's house with no problems what so ever i parked the car and boom all the problems began.
First the car wouldn't start N i was getting a funny clicking noise from behind my radio i believe thats the MPI/MFI relay or ECU Power Relay. The radio pretty much blinks and clicks. So i decided to jump the car thinking it was just a shot battery car turned on and then turned right off after warming up. my safc2 was telling me that it was holding 14volts then it would drop to 11volts and shut off. So i removed the alternator had it tested it was bad swapped it and the problem still accured. Then i thought the battery is the problem took it out, had it tested and they said it was like brand new. (By the way the battery was swapped out no more then 3 months ago) so it was pretty much brand new. So i jumped the car again tried to drive it up the block and the car started to buckle like i was stalling and at low rpms it would shut off and tell me the battery was dead again if i keep it at high rpms it will drive fine. So i cleaned all the battery terminals and anything that had corrosion on them and the problem is still persisting, checked fuses and replaced them all. The other things is that i am getting a buzzing sound from to relays in the fuse box the alarm horn relay and the tail light relay. so i am thinking they could be stuck causing my car to drain battery and not properly start up im going to swap those this week and test the relay i hope its not a burned out ecu which i doubt cause everything in the car turns on the radio lights, all my gauges, and my electronic dump valve. i hope someone had a similar problem so they can help thanks Rich

Sounds to me like your battery is grounding out on your hood. Go out, pop your hood and look at the underside right above where the battery sits and report what you see. I could be totally wrong, but its a good place to start.

Make sure that the connections on the battery terminals are on tight and free of corrision. That includes the terminals on the battery as well as the wire clamps. Look for grounding spots on the hood which would look blackish from sparking. It's what Khartley was telling you.

holy crap im having the exact same issues! i was just about to write a thread about it. but my issue is not with battery grounding on the hood i have a battery box to avoid that kinda thing. maybe that is his problem but anyone have any other clues?? (sry bout the thread hijack)

So it can't be your battery if everything is getting power. Check for boost leaks, and replace plugs/wires is where I would start.

if its tripping from hitting the hood i would see alot of white smoke on the hood correct! cause i have a carbon fiber hood and thats what i see. white dust all over not directly under the battery closer to the ground that hooks up to it i could be wrong cause i am missing bolts to tie the battery down. But it looks like as if raiden was under my hood shooting out lightning.
