It's not necessary to primer urethane but scoring the surface is preferred.

Most of the times companys will use adhesion promoter on urethane and it will hold fine.

well hell now i got mixed reviews. Half the people have told me the paint fell off in a matter of weeks and now i hear it works well. Guess when i get my tax incentive next month ill just have to make a choice. anybody have any pics of a pre painted bumper they got that has held up?

The seller that gsxAWD listed has a huge rating in ebay..I would say they are decent!

i bought a 2gb bumper cover off ebay for 24$ with 175$ shipping, kinda unrealistic but....thats besides the point, i do believe that if your car would be freshly painted and you put the bumper on the same time as you painted the car, it would be a fairly close match but in my case the car had been sittin the sun for a fairly long time causing sunfade so there would be very little chance of getting the paint to match correctly

I say get the bumper...then go to pep boys and pick up a bottle of 3M finish restorer. Follow the instructions on the bottle and you have a paintjob that is like new, fixes all sun fading and paint oxidation.
