power falling off at higher rpm

So I've read through a few of the threads that seem to have similar issues. Maybe I'm just looking for a simple confirmation.

I just installed a 16g and at 5k-5.5k rpms... my car seems to drop all per and has no "umph" left In it. 1 set at 15psi and I know the 16g can handle a lot more psi than that. Now am I just hitting my power band end or is there something else I might be missing? I'm posting this from my phone so I can't attach a log from link v2 to help explain this. I've adjusted mafcomp, and my afr's at wot are 10.8. I have a little improvement in that area and I know this... but should power loss be this sudden? My gsx is an auto by the way. No boost leaks and blt was done at 30 psi with throttle plate open.

Try and get on a computer and attach your tune log. I'm guessing it's something little in there would be my thought. although mine does the same thing but it's stock.

Ok, is it at 5,500 rpm pretty much like clock work? Does it kind of surge, not a real misfire but a slight studder? Pop your valve cover off and inspect all the rocker arms. One of my intake rocker arms popped off causing a strange stuttering at 5,500. It's happened to a few of us, check it out let us know if you need any help.

Ok so at idle it has a slight miss but my log doesn't show it at all. I'm actually confused as to why it does that. And it not exactly clock work... I've had the power go all the way to 6200. Then the car has nothing left. I'm not getting knock sometimes and some times I am. I have knock set to 5k rpms and 1/2 throttle or more. I was getting some horrible phantom knock at cruising and was causing my car to act very stupid. I will get on a computer tonight and get the log posted for a better explanation.

Sounds timing related, but I guess we will see where your timing is at when you post that log. Do you know it's losing power, could the trans be slipping. I don't mean to insult you, I'm just not sure the depth of your knowledge.
