I went the the junk yard and purchased a door lock for my drive side. someone replaced the handle at one point and never swaped the lock onto the new piece. so I re-keyed the lock to accept my factory key when I turn the key I can see and hear the acuatior unlock the car but It will only do this when the door is already unlocked and will not unlock the door when it is locked does anyone know what may cause this?

So you're saying you picked up a new key for your lock and when you operate it you hear the locks release (but only when the locks are supposed to be unlocked) -- otherwise, when you try to open the door it remains locked? Sounds like you're at war with remote door open/lock functionality. I can only suggest getting a dealer involved. Best wishes dude :(!
