Powder Coating

Over the next few months i kept finding these really good deals and had obviously decided that this was no longer a simple put it back together project. So I kept snatching up parts left and right. Also started doing some powder coating between picking up parts. Here's a few pics of the turbo and valve cover. I ended up selling the valve cover as it was only a test piece for me. I still needed to put my AN fittings on mine so its not done yet.

And I just noticed the pictures show some defects that actually aren't really there. The real pieces look good.

Very nice... the only part i dont really like about powdercoating is the sandblasting, it can be time consuming sometimes depending on the size of the part.

Thanks! Didnt do to many practice pieces before I did the turbo but it came out great and I love the color. As for sand blasting....PITA. I dont have my own booth yet so I had someone blast my block for me when I did that. Friend and I did the turbo. The whole process is time consuming but I think its worth it. Thanks again for the compliments

Did you buy or make your oven? What did you use? Im interested :%2Pr

I actually didn't make my oven. I used an old electric house oven I picked up from someone throwing it away. You can see a pic of it in my blog post "the beginning". The oven is just big enough to fit my block .
