Has anyone had any experience with the PLX M-300 wideband o2 computer.

I have a rather stupid question- but is the o2 sensor running to the computer supposed to replace the one in the o2 housing or the rear o2 sensor for the CAT- this is a(2G)

Also, what tool should I use to remove my o2 sensor- I've never had to - so I have no isea what to do??

Ya I run the PLX M-300 and log it with my Dsmlink, works great. As for the outputs it has both a narrow band 1 volt and a wideband 5 volt. What does this mean? you can replace you factory O2 sensor in the O2 sensor housing & use the 1 volt output to act like a narrow band. Is this a good idea? no not really. Widebands don't like to see very high temps or it will really shorten their life (I think PLX recommends under 800 C). If you aren't running a cat then you can place it in the rear location, if you still have a cat you can't place the sensor after the cat because it will effect the readings. Best thing to do & what most people do (including myself) is to get a bung welded on your downpipe (there is a recommended distance from the turbo outlet in the instructions). I placed mine between the end of the flex section and the cat.

Depends how seized the sensor is, I've always been able to take mine off with a with a wrench. If you have higher miles on the car it will probably be difficult to get out, they make a socket that it specifically designed for O2 sensors. Most auto parts stores will carry them.

What bunge did you use?- where didi you get it?, what size was it- and how much would it cost to install this bungee at an exhaust shop?

I used a stainless steel one, as my downpipe is stainless. I bought if from the dealer where I bought the wideband. I forget the thread size but basically all widebands have the same thread. Not sure how much it would cost to install a bung I would think $20-30. I had the proper size punch and know some guys that weld for a living.

Edit: Dealer was B&E Customs, got mine on Ebay.
