Laval,
I already have a PDA, a handspring visor deluxe and a bios2k datalogger, this cable have both connection (Palm and PC).

I have a deal for a Laptop 400mmx, with 128mb ram, 10g HD, and 32mb video card. for 200$can, so 160$us.

The bio2k came with the tunerstein softaware, palmnstein, MMCD. But, this software require a minimum palm os 3.5.

the problem is my F***ing, PDA, have a palm os 3.1, and they are no upgrade palm os , for that PDA.

the only software who can work on my handspring visor deluxe, is the pocketlogger. BUT, I know this software is not free, and it com with the pocketlogger cable.

What I should to do, I already expend money for my PDA and my bios2k datalogger. I have choice to buy a Laptop, or buy the pocketlogger cable, with complete software.

but if you said that laptop is more easy or I don't know, for using on my 1G, I gonna buy it.

please, help, me..

thx

Palm M105's going on Ebay for $30.

Data cables and software at www.pocketlogger.com are like $175

I don't know if thats all you need since I am just starting to get into datalogging. But so far $205 doesn't sound like such a big deal to me....my injectors cost more than that.

Sell your other palm on Ebay and get a M105.

good, I don't care for the cash. It's too late a loose my cash on my Palm visor.

but before I buy a new Palm, I want to know if it's better a Palm or Laptop to work on my 1G for datalogging.

cause I see the TMO software is very simple and it's have a lot of functions. but it's only for laptop.

It depends on how deep your pockets are on which route you want to go.

I personally picked up a M500 for 100 bucks and then the PL software for 175$ and I'm set to go.

I would go that route if I were you and spend the money elsewhere.

i have a dinasour laptop and the cable. problem is i can't get Tunerstein to load up. damn laptop is running Win95. I also hear TMO wroks on laptops pretty damn easily and its freeware now that TMO is out of business or something but i can't find the damn software. go figure. guess i'll keep beating my head trying to get Tunerstein up anless someone has a link to TMO software

I would go with the laptop setup, because of the fact that a laptop has more battery time and memory.

You could most likely use your data cable for the laptop by getting a female to female adapter from radio shack for about 6 or 7 dollars, so you won't need a new cable. You will need the software. I have tunerstein, but am looking for someone to email a copy of TMO to me--if I get a copy, you're more than welcome to it.

Hope this helps.
