whats up,
I really want to paint my stock wheels on my talon and I was just wondering if anybody has done this before and had good results. I sanded all of my wheels down already and I was just looking for some suggestions on paint and clearcoat. I really don't want the paint to chip. :talon:

I just looked at as many "how tos" as I could find. Basically: clean and degrease. Sand if the surface is smooth/shiny (As you've already done) Spray in light coats. I went to paint store and asked what would work well on "car rims," they gave me tough enamel for metal applications. I purchased clearcoat as well, but didn't use it as it gave my flat black rims a little shine. I plan to re-paint as necessary. Many clearcoats have a "no high-temps" warning on them. Take X camaro's advice, and post the pics. :dsm:

I sanded mine down and just used Krylon......2 coats of primer, 3 coats of flat black, no clear. I am shocked at how good it still looks after 2 and a half years.
