Paint shops in Portland area.

I am in need this summer to paint my car. I am looking a reputable shop out there. Please let me know some prices and personal experiences. I am looking for full paint job and jams. I am looking at doing a all black theme. I hear black is a little tougher to paint.

My paint job is so ugly, I'm thinking about taking it down to primer...total paint jobs are pretty pricey...

If your looking for a decent paint job I just got done with my 70 bug, you can come out and take a looksie at what I can do. I wouldnt charge you a whole lot more than what materials cost. Quality paint from bare metal to clear on a dsm sized car is going to run about $4-700
If your looking to get your car painted for $700 at any shop your going to get cheap paint and clear thats going to chip easily.
I'd primer your car with epoxy primer, finish sand, and then start with the paint/clear.

Black is all in the finish, a halfassed polish job will zebra stripe it like a camo hmmvee.
Metallics are the hard type to paint, cant sand them like a solid color. But they do look good!

I will be doing a full paint job and am not set on color yet. Do you have more pics of paint jobs you done?

Bug is the only real 'full car' I've done, which in this case is a huge undertaking.
Feel free to come out and take a look at the bug, high quality base/color/clear is hard to argue against. I've got my own awd to paint next summer as well as 3 other cars here now.

I'd kind of like to come check your Bug out. My car definitely needs a paint job...I've been putting it off though to spend money on other things. I'm not looking to pay anyone to do it, I want to do it myself, but if you need a hand or anything, PM me, I'd like to learn.

I'll have to come out to take a look (I used to live in Beavercreek and drive thru your town on the way to Mt. Hood skiing a lot). I'm not looking to have anything special done, just really tired of my pealing clearcoat...
