420A P0135 Code. Upstream heated O2 sensor heater circuit fault (bank 1)

P0135..... Upstream heated O2 sensor heater circuit fault (bank 1)
what would this make the car do??
would it run any different?
a new one is $70 and i can't get one until next week.
my car idles rough and takes off rough at low rpms sometimes.could this be causing that?
its a 96 gs n/t by the way!!!

The bank 1 O2 sensor is the main open loop ECU feeback devise. It certainly causes the car to run like crap when it is toast.
