Hey guys, I've searched the forum here on this issue, but I just can't find one that is similar to my problem, or one with any answers.
So I'll just start with when the check engine light came on, I was sitting in a parking lot the second day I just finished breaking in my new engine, yes on the first day I did get on it a little getting up to about 85% throttle, not 100%. The second day I didn't get that high up on the throttle. It was a little hot out, so in the parking lot I would start the car so the ac would kick in, then after a little bit I'd shut her off to save gas. I did that maybe about 4-5 times, the last time I noticed the check engine light came on. Now I do have an Apexi SAFC in the car, but I didn't change anything on it, I just went to the monitor channel. The car ran fine the days before.
Now the car isn't tuned after I got it back, I still need to get it tuned, it's pretty much a fully built bottom end and the top end is built up as well. There is a balance shaft delete kit, and for now stock injectors and fuel pump. The car is a 2.3 stroker with a new T28 turbo. On my profile, the list of parts on my car isn't up to date yet, until I finish getting new fuel parts on.
I've already taken out the MAF and cleaned it with MAF cleaner, but that didn't do anything to fix the problem, I even left the car over night with the battery unplugged to reset the code to see if it would go away, and no luck with that as well.
When I start the car, if I just kinda tap the throttle it sounds like it's gonna die, then it comes back, unless I hold the throttle more it does fine.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be wrong? I'm not sure if it just needs a tune that bad, or if it could be something else, any advice is very appreciated!

code p0100 is MAF sensor related. usually the first step is to clean the sensor, which in your case you have already done. have you looked for a disconnected MAF connecter at the sensor?? have you checked for your referance voltage, ground and signal wires to the MAF?? loose connections and terminal pin tensions can cause codes to pop up. have you tried a known good MAF sensor?? do you have access to a scan tool with data pid readouts??[DOUBLEPOST=1408410929][/DOUBLEPOST]Pin 4, at the MAF connector, should have battery voltage (with the key on). pine 3 ( L-Y colored wire) should have 4.8 to 5.2 volts (refference voltage with the ignition key on). pin 5 (black wire) should hav less than 2 ohms resistance with a dvom black lead on battery ground and red lead on pin 5 at MAF sensor. if one of these is not as written then there is a problem with one of the wires or the engine control module. if all are present and are as they should be then the MAF sensor is bad. also a good idea to check for air leaks after the MAF sensor, any air leaks from the MAF sensor to the Intake manifold can set this code as well.
