Hi,
This post is about my overheating problem I had to deal with all summer. I just want to make sure that what I think the problem is, is the only one that there could be. I have the GReddy big frount mount which takes up the whole mouth on my 2G. During the summer I noticed that my car was starting to over heat like crazy when driving on the highway for a long time. I had to drive with the heat on full blast to make the temp gauge go back down. I am just curious to see what you guyz think the problem is. The obvious one would be that the radiator is just not getting enough air which I plan on fixing with an extra pusher fan. I am going to hook it up to a 12v switch so I can turn it on when I please. I no longer have the AC fan because it wont fit with the newly mounted wastegate. Please help me out if you know any other causes for my car over heating. Thanx in advance. :dsm:

replace radiator cap with a 1.2 bar one, check for leaks from your hoses and check leaks in the radiator, flush your radiator, check waterpump. put in a 180 thermostat which might helps.

also make sure you have all heatshields on the turbo. If there's nothing between the turbo and the radiator, heat from the turbine housing and O2 housing will heat up the backside of the radiator.

Also make sure you have ducting between the FMIC and the radiator to force all the air through the IC and the radiator.

I just did a radiator flush on my car this weekend, and I notice the difference, the temp gage stays alittle to the left of the center, jsut a little but it does, and the car doesnt go past the halfway mark that much nomore afte ri turn it off and back on. Overheating with the frontmount is one of the reasons Im leanign towards a big sidemount itnercooler.
