I crushed my oil filter housing and I'm looking at just buying a forward facing housing and I can't decide on which one. One company charges twice as much for what looks like 2 additional 90* -AN fittings... Anyone that's done it want to chime in and say if it's worth it?

Hit me up with a PM and explain this company. There's a pretty reliable (one of the most in my opinion) company that has a forward facing housing for under 100 bucks. How much is the one you're speaking of?

Those are both nice pieces. What is it you plan on running in the long run? Are you going to run an external oil cooler or not?

I dont know what companies make them, never even seen them. Can you pm me a link?

There is always alternatives with just the housing:

Edit: wait is this for just sensors and idiot light? Or do you mean 90 degree AN fittings for external cooler.

Sorry I misunderstood you post, I would say the addition bucks would be from the fittings (seems to be three of them, two 90 brass and an -4an) and the fact that they drilled and tapped it for you.

If you are going to drill and tap it, make sure you take out the pressure relief valve and then drill and tap so there are no pieces of aluminum in the housing that can get caught in your system.

I bought mine off of jnz around 50 with bolts and gasket not a bad deal

ffwd charges extra because of they tap them and ad fittings, which anyone who knows how to use a drill press and tap can do themselves.
