So I did a compression test on the new build. After about 900 miles it stands at:

180 180 180 188

Why would the number 4 cylinder have higher compression? I'm using 2g pistons on 1g rods with an MLS and 272/272 cams. Is this something to be concerned about?

Nah... Nothing to worry about. You will almost always have some variance across the cylinders and almost never get the same results in each cylinder. I wouldn't think twice about it.
