+/- on the cam gears??

whAts Up DsM'eRs?? i can get a good deal on some aem cam gears but im not sure on what degrees to set them at. i remember someone posted -2* on the intake cam and +2* on the exhaust cam, but im not sure if those would be correct settings. also can i run cam gears untuned with both set at 0degrees?? how much hp should i expect with them untuned???? would i need an afc with the cam gears since im modding the intake flow? any 1 with a legit answer please respond.

you will not get any gains from the cam gears set at 0.yuo can use em just no gain. you don't NEED an afc however i think it would be benificial if you had one.you will gain about 8 hp on cam gears alone when dyno tuned.I saw this on importtuner.com on the search.they did a 96rs on their horsepower magazine.Dynocharts are provided in the articles.I would get them if your'e getting a good deal but remember that dyno tunning is not cheap.at least not for me.

I would think that most cars with the same mods would be able to tune the same. It will probably depend on mileage (most likely compression in that factor) and 5 speed/ auto, etc. If you are identical to someone else, you can probably just tune them the same and be fine. I would probably use a common setting until I could get to a dyno.
