Hey guys! An old newbie here.... and just rejoined after about 12 years or so out... Would like to say that I'm glad to be back. A little history about myself.

Im 32 years old and live in NC. I have always loved dsm's! My first dsm was and still is a 96 gs-t spyder which i have owned since 11th grade. Im 32, so i have owned the car for over 15 years. My plans are to resurrect it from the garage that was its final resting place for the past 5 years. Its had the usual/basic mods like filter etc etc. Just the basic starting mods.

My plans are to get it up and running again doing the regular maintenance like timing belt, other belts, fluids etc etc. Then I'm gonna build it. This will be my very first dsm build and its long, long overdue. Plans are after maintenance are supporting mods, then in steps from 3-4-500 hp. My ultimate goal is 500hp. After the motor is built to my goal, it will be transferred to a 2g awd auto talon from the fwd spyder. Then the rest of the stages will take affect on tranny etc etc.

This is my goal! I want something fun again and just something to do basically. Im seeing to many diesels and evo's running around when it used to be talons, lasers and eclipses. SAD!

That being said, I'm glad to be back... And thanks for all the knowledge from this forum!

Welcome back! It's nice to hear another DSM will be resurrected, and getting driven again :thumb: It's quite sad that I have only seen 2 other DSMs around where I live in the last 7 years... It looks like you are already on the right path with getting the maintenance done first. I have spent the last year replacing things with OEM parts, and just fixing all the broken things the previous owner managed to do wrong to the car. Most of the interior trim was cracked, and tons of bolts were missing all over inside and under the hood. Hell, I think my car had more zip ties than you would find on a Haggard Garage car. Those of you who know who they are will know just how bad that is!

Anyways, good luck with your goals, and I cannot recommend Extreme PSI enough for parts. Definitely check out what they have to offer when you start ordering things!
