Orillia,
HI everyone I have a T3/T4 turbo that I am installing. I was reading a book on turbo installs. one of the things that I read was that the oil pressure at the turbo could not be to high. it mentioned numbers like 5 psi at idle and 25 psi max. If oil pressure numbers reached 65psi or higher it could resualt in oil passing the bearings and reaching the intake or exhaust housings. ANY info that is correct would be helpfull thank you..

I used to have my oil pressure gauge tapped in off the fitting just to the right of the banjo bolt for the stock turbo oil feed line before i melted the nylon line and lit my car on fire...

But anyway the reading from the gauge should have been the same as what the turbo was getting and when the car was cold i was getting between 25 and 35psi reading depending on rpm, when the car got warm it ranged from 10-20psi. This was with mobil 1 10w-30 synthetic.

I also read the oil pressure from that point .. at warm idle the gauge sees about 14 psi of oil pressure .. at 2,500 rpm cruise about 28-30 psi.
