i was revving my GSX up to 6 or 7k rpms earlier to test for clutch issues. i never drove the car, it was parked the whole time. when i got done, i was looking under the car and noticed some fresh oil on the ground in 2 separate places. there is one known oil leak on this car; theres a tiny leak from the front left (drivers side) of the oil pan. one of these spots was where that leak normally is, only this time the oil spot was much bigger (2-inch diameter). the other oil spot was on the right side of the engine, and appeared to be dripping off the front right corner of the oil pan.

so, i know the oil pan leaks, but would it leak at higher rpms? i didnt think the oil pan was influenced much by engine RPM. should i chalk these leaks up to the bad oil pan, or is there another source of the oil?

Well a simple way to do this test would be drain the oil out of the motor. Take off oil pan replace gasket ect or even the pan. Reinstall ect... and try it over again, then if ya are still leaking oil, then ya mite have another problem, but from the sounds of it when ya rev it up the oil becomes warmer thus more movable and starts to seep past and then drip... just my thoghts
