I posted about my boost leak test, how It filled up to 15psi and slowly went down. I heard bubbaling sounds...

But what i just remembered that might be important. I didn't think about it at first

but when i took off my air intake pipe. There was a little puddle of oil in it?

Does that mean my turbo or leaking, Does everyone get it, Is it a seal? What is it....

More than likely this is just crankcase pressure. This is why alot of people get catch cans with breathers for this. The pressure is released back into the intake which then blows oil back thru the system. This will cause horrible drag on the air going thru your intake and intercooler piping. :notgood:

I would clean the intake and take off the intercooler piping and check those as well. After this I would get a catch can and breather and this should take care of your problem. :)

Oil in the intake means the turbo seals are shot.If there is just in and out play on the turbo, you could rebuild replacing thrust washer and seals. If up and down/side to side play,it's time to get that T28 you've been wishing for.

Oil in the intake does not necessarily mean that the turbo seals are shot...the motor in that car is 10 years old. I would be very willing to bet that he has enough blowby at the rings to cause this.

Either way, the difference is spending $2 to try to fix it versus $900.

Iv had the car for 5 months. And have only took off the intake then...And no telling how long the dude went, before me. He dident do much under the hood. Some but not much. There was only a little oil

Oil in the intake means the turbo seals are shot.

Almost had it right. Oil in the Lower Intercooler Pipe usually means that the turbo seals are shot. Oil in the intake pipe comes from the crankcase hose. Put a Fram G2-style fuel filter in the middle of that hose and you should be fine. Replace it every oil change or when it gets dirty.

It is a good idea that you clean out youre intercooler. You probably have oil residue built up in it, decreasing its efficiency. You should do the same with youre pipes and youre throttlebody. And do a boost leak test to make sure that everything is nice and tight and that you dont have any leaks when everything is back together. :thumb:

I've owned over 200 DSMs .I buy them broke and fix them.I've had almost every kind of broke there is.Oil in the intake, a few dozen times.Oil in the licp does not just sit there. It will migrate it's way through the entire intake system, filling intercoolers and intake manifolds with large amounts of oil. This oil also goes through the BOV into the recirculation tube into the intake tube leaving a puddle of oil. When I took into consideration it was T25 I did jump out there and say turbo.Even though I've had 25 to 30 cars with the described condition I should'nt have.Good luck with your filter.
