just wondering who makes a good oem carpet or if anyone has just made there own because i am taking my backseats out dont want that big chunk of metal showing

IDK about the 1Gs but the 2G entire back seat weights about 2 pounds. Not worth losing seating, paying for carpet, and having to store the seats for the next 25 years. It is your car though. I've never heard of anyone who makes carpet like that. but I have heard of people buying fabric and gluing it down.

ya i took em out ### i am 6 foot 5 and there is really no room anyways so i thought to myself screw it mite as well take em out

Id go with a molded aftermarket for the front and make the back half. you can probably contact the aftermarket company and have them send you extra material on top of the molded carpet. Nothing is gunna fit as good as a molded one

Here's a good idea for you is what I did was make a box out of pli wood and layed carpet over it. It looks so good! you just run a flat piece of pli wood from homedepo from the rear hatch up to where the seat was the lay a flat bored from the floor of the car up to the first peice of pli wood then carpet the two pieces and then put it together. But this is just an idea for you.
