Quick question. My O2 voltage goes straight up to 1volt when the car is started. Put in new Bosch unit. Same reading. Logger has a frnt/rear O2 logs, using frnt one.
Does the VPC/GCC modify the O2 sensor values?
Car seems to run fine, responds to VPC adjustments right away.
Does it matter? I will probably get a wideband sometime soon anyway.

One more thing, does anyone know where I can get a 550cc VPC chip. Tried some places on the web and was told they were out.

VPC/GCC modifies the airflow signal coming back from the MAF harness and replaces it with its own after it does a lookup on its own internal tables, MAP input, Temperature sensor input, & Tachometer input just to name a few.

The 1g stock fuel injector VPC chip always ran rich. I remember driving mine around and I would get sick to my stomach from the smell. Use the Gain setting on the VPC, idle fuel setting, and GCC to start leaning things out until the 02 starts cycling normally.

Yeah she does run rich. Thanks for the advice. I didn't want to go leaning it out till I had some info.
My goal is to max out the 14b and sidemount w/o grenading the motor. The motor is built but going to lean on any motor is not a good thing.
One question though. Since it runs so rich on 450's can I put in 550's w/o the new VPC chip. I can't find one. My IDC is at about 84% and my fuel trims are 80-100-100. I haven't put in a new pump yet either. But I did put in a high flow filter, braided hose, Holley fuel rail and FPR.
Thanks for the input

Go here: DSMChips.com | DSM ECU Chips Enchanced by Keydiver

For $140 you can get your stock ECU's EPROM burned for 550cc injectors and the VPC doesn't care if its on its own 450cc EPROM map, it'll think everything is good and your fuel curve will be dead-on. I do the same thing with DSMLink on my 660cc injectors and running the 2g VPC/GCC on an HKS VPC 450cc injector chip. This is the cheapest way of doing it, and if you get tired of the VPC you can still keep your 550cc injectors on the car and it'll run like stock.

I wasn't aware of that option. I've been out of the loop for a while.
Sounds like that is exactly what I need.
Thanks I really appreciate the info.

You can burn your own chips,
http://www.hwnd.org/
that site goes up and down though.

You can also do native speed density through the stock ecu with DSMap
DS-MAP.NET • Index page
The ostrich to run this is only $40 more than a chip.

DSMlink also offers speed density.

Both options allow you to change injector size as you please, as well as fuel and timing without requiring the VPC.
