Hi,
I was bored this morning. So I thought why not do a comparison of the O2 housings I have.
Test animal #1: EVO 3 O2 housing unported
Test animal #2: nsindustries tubular O2 housing (ebay)
The tests were done in a good manner with an accurate caliper and one of the best electronic scale (except for the EVO 3 it was used on an analog scale, to heavy)
First test was weight:
EVO3 weighs about 2500 grams (5.5 pounds)
NSindustries tubular 1830 grams (4.026 pounds)
Second test was inlet/outlet inner diameters:
EVO3 was a little more dificult to get an exact measurement, because of it's not perfect round diameters. Exhaust inlet is 62mm (2 7/16 inch), exhaust outlet is 57mm (2 1/4 inch) and the wastegate opening was 44.5mm (1 3/4 inch)
NS tubular: Exhaust inlet is 63.7mm (2.5"), exhaust outlet is 62mm (2 7/16"), wastegate inlet is 40mm (1 9/16") and the waste gate outlet is 41.5mm (1 5/8").
Final test was cost:
Evo 3 did cost me $140 witout shipping with gaskets.
NSindustries tubular did cost me $129.99 shipped without gaskets.
THIS COMPARISON ISN'T TO BASH ANY PRODUCTS, JUST FOR INFORMATION ONLY!
I liked the EVO 3 and I haven't driven the car yet with the tubular one. So, I can't say anything about that one yet.
