So the previous owner of my car said he likes to run the car a little rich, a .92 o2 reading.
I have two questions:
1. would I gain anything by leaning it out to .90 (the standard I beleive)?
2. I have a .92 on low boost(17psi) but I was getting .95-.96 on high boost(19-20psi), shouldn't it run a little leaner with more air? what to do?
thanks,
david
btw, 97gsx with 16g, safc and the supporting mods.

From RRE;
2G 95-99 Turbo

On 91 octane gas you will want .94-.95v If you are at a higher altitude then lower voltage is OK.
On 92 octane gas you will want .94v
On 93-94 octane gas you can get away with .92v

David, do you have a datalogging device?
Did the previous owner say how it was tuned?

lean it out till you see knock, then richen it up agian. dont rely on your o2 sensor for anything, just get used to how it reads, and then u can make quick judgements with it.

use timing and knock, on a 2g i guess just use timing, but u can see knock in the timing.
