I have a 97 Eclipse GS with a T3/T4 turbo, I'm receiving code 14 it is for the map sensor voltage to low or to high, check harness connector. I was wondering if there is a certain map sensor i should use for this setup, an aftermarket or a turbo one. I heard the turbo map sensor has an extra wire. Do i need a turbo map sensor? or is it that only for the gst or gsx engines. If i do need the turbo map sensor where do i hook up this additional wire??
Thanks,
-Brian

i believe hahn has some sort of device for working around this.

get a missing link... Where to buy a missing link

the hrc and star kits both come with a "black box" FCD (fuel cet defenser) basically they suck are stop working over time...so a missing link is a high quality alternative that works great forever.

Just wandering, I have a hrc kit on my car and I was curiouse to know if what you said could fix my problem...

I have a 97 gs with hrc turbo kit. The check engine light is on but I do not know how to find out the code... The car will not rev past 4000 unless you catch it before the Check engine light kicks in.. I would apreciate your help guys.. thanks

Our MAP sensor was not designed to sense positive pressure. It will cut fuel or throw a CEL code at you if it does.

You need either a map defender device (Supplied by Hahn)

Or

Some type of valve to stop the positive pressure ( Missing Link) to correct this.

All turbo kits should come with one of these devices.

I have the black box tricker, came with my STAR kit. I was wondering if it would be better to just get a missing link. I always prefere mechanical stuff to electronic stuff.

I just got the missing link and i would highly recommend getting it. It works great :thumb:

I have read in previous postings that the 95 GS can function with out a missing link is this true??
