Yeah thats right Im a noob. and for thoughs who want to just put "do more research" might as well not even read this. anyways i have a 1997 RS bone stock might i add. I really want to get really decent HP out of the 420a. For those of you who know how to this is where you come in. I need a parts list of all the things i need. Oh by the way how do I get those tubularturbo manifolds. I really just want an all out street racer. Something to give those jackasses with civics to talk about. Money really is a problem for me...not to brag but i do make good money. and im not going to trade for a 4g63. if i did that might as well buy a hemi charger... I need opinions on cams, strokerkits???, pistons, rods, valves, bearings, and anything else you guys can think of. If i did research myself I'd in a world of hurt. Some of you guys know more than the peeps who call themselves pros. Please if you have and suggestions write back...thanks for your time

Here you go. Right from the person who will know best about NT to Turbo conversions.
Of course, that's only useful if he's got a 1GNT with the naturally aspirated 4G63 in it. Since he has a second gen with a 420A, despite my having the highest level of respect and admiration for Officer Mavisky, I wouldn't say he's the best source in this regard, nor do I suspect he would want to entertain a 4G63T into 2GNT swap discussion.

Link corrected so as to provide the OP with information which is remotely useful.

You got alot ahead of you. The best advice is to trade it in man, which you dont want to do. But thats the best thing. 6 bolt 4g63, best 4 banger out there. 420A, not so much. :D
Wow. When did we get back to 1998 up in here?

If you absolutely *have to* run 12 second quarter miles and absolutely *don't want to* spend more than $8,000 to do so, then you want to consider 4G63 options. If you want to be just another run-of-the-mill 1G running 12s in the (yawn) quarter mile, then, by all means, pick up an old beater off some posuer hack for cheap and build that, while keeping your 2GNT clean and reliable. But if you want to make the most of what you've got and don't mind spending more cash to do so, let the link, above, get you moving in the right direction.

Nobody's going to just give you a list of what parts to buy because we all know that will mean, six months from now, we'll be having to tell you how to install it, how to tune it, and how to fix it. Research, research, research!

Like Driggs said, I doubt you'll get a parts list written out for you. I would advise against just diving head first into it without knowing what you need, what to do, etc. But, if you really just want an answer to your question above, read the power stages stuff on the 2GNT Wiki, look at 420A guys' profiles on here and see what they have listed for mods, and read threads about others' builds to see what they've done and how it's worked for them.

And... just for kicks I'll throw out an idea. I'm not BSing here as a joke, this would actually be an easy way for someone with little knowledge or experience get some good power from their 420A. Go to the Howell Automotive website, order a crate motor and they'll send it to you all built up and ready to go. Go to the Hahn website, order their turbo kit and Portfueler. A few other supporting upgrades like a new clutch and exhaust and you'll probably be all set to just put it all together and make good power.

Lol, of course we're going to tell you to read and do more research. Do you have any idea how many times this question has been asked. We are here to help you, not spoon feed you. But heres a quick run up:

If all you want to do is beat civc's and stock SRT-4's you'll only need 8psi on a decent turbo. To run 8psi you just need a 12:1 FMU and a 255lph fuel pump (might as well go for the high pressure pump, it costs the same) and a turbo kit, which you could piece yourself. That should get you anywhere from 190-210 whp.

If you have the need for more boost, you'll need a built buttom end (lower compression) and MSnS or Portfueler. With the Portfueler, you wont have the ability to tune ignition, unless you get a MSD DIS-2.

Theres more to it than that, but thats just the general info you need. Now, get to reading.
