should i just use nuts and bolts or should i tap either the turbo or the manifold ? i was just going to use nuts and bolts, but when time to remove the turbo that would be kind of a pain in the but, and i just dont see nuts and bolts holding it in place better then tapping the manifold to accept a nice sturdy set of bolts. what do you think?
 
A nut and bolt connection is significantly better than any tapped hole ever. If you have to tap it, go ahead, but feel privileged to have a problem with such a solution. The connections are stronger in a nut and bolt, but here's the best part, if you screw up the threads on the nut you'll only have to replace it. Nobody has ever had to helicoil a nut : D

t4 flange, yea i may just use a nut and bolt combo, and just tighten the hell out of it :D
 
Haha, wish we could all have that problem : D

I'd say torque it down the same as you would any other bolt in combination. It's been a while since I've studied bolts though, maybe someone else can chime in.
