You guys have always been so helpfull that i will bring my next problem to you guys. i checked my ecu today and sadly no eprom. OK here come my dilemma  i am 99% sure i am getten the t3/t4 t04b v-trim turbo. i want to get a fpr,680cc, 650cc )somewhere around there) injectors. now i really want to get dsmlink. however since i found out that i don't have eprom and need to buy one i don't really have enough money for everything. OK the question i really have is should i not get ether the fpr or the injectors and get the new ecu so i can get dsmlink or should i get s-afc II. if i get the afc i can still afford the fpr and injectors. My concern is that the afc will not be able to tune the large injectors. plus the over all lack of tuning with the afc compaired to dsmlink. would my car be save with stock injectors and no fpr but having dsmlink? OK to sum it all up should i get the best ecu (dsmlink) and wait on the fpr and injectors or should i get the afc and get the injectors and fpr. by the way i want between 350-400 awhp and i will be getten a front mount and gm mas and translator during the winter if anyone going to say i should get those first. i just want my car to be fast but safe thanks everyone!!!!! :talon: :thumb:

sorry i found got to ask this also. can i get a 2g 95 talon eporm for my 1990 eagle? do i have to make sure its from a talon not an eclipse? does manual or automatic matter? turbo non-turbo? i know if i get a eprom from a 91-94 i just need to make a few minor changes to make it work correctly. thank you guy very much. any other information on whats involved in getting a eprom ecu for my car so i can't get the wrong one is greatly appreciated :thumb:

You can install the ECU from a 2G, but it won't be a plug-in affair. You'll have to wire it up yourself, so unless you're handy with a soldering iron and can put together a clean wire splice, this isn't a reasonable option.

If you install that Walbro 255 fuel pump, you will need to install the adjustable fuel pressure regulator. The stock fpr won't be able to control the amount of fuel that the 255 puts out and your tuning will be inconsistent.

Instead of doing everything at once, I suggest you take this in stages:

Install the fuel pump and the fuel pressure regulator first. If you already have the MAF and Translator already installed by then, you can put the 650's in and try to tune using the translator. If you have problems getting a proper tune, then put the stock injectors back in and wait until you've saved up enough to get a EPROM ecu and the DSMLink program.

i think your stages idea is good. however i am getten the turbo soon because my 14b is shot. i just thought getting that turbo it wouldn't run properly on the stock injectors and i know if i upgrade the injectors i must get a way to tune it. and when i get the turbo i need to put in the new fuel pump which means i need a fpr. it just seems like i need to put everything in, in pairs. i just don't want to hurt my car by not installing enough things. just looking for input thanks

will s-afc II work with the 680cc injectors i'm planing on getting. or will i just have idle problems and run rich? is there anything beside dsmlink that would tune better then s-afc but is cheaper then dsmlink. just debating if i wanna spend all my money on dsmlink if i don't need it thanks everyone

The car will run with the v-trim turbo and the stock fuel system, but I don't recommend turning up the boost until you have the fuel issues taken care of or you might be shelling out even more cash after your engine does the world's best impersonation of a M-67 fragmentation grenade from too much boost and not enough fuel.

650cc injectors is about the limit of what any of the piggyback systems (MAF Translator, SAFC) can reasonably tune, so you should be able to get away with tuning your engine with 680's in there.. If you have trouble tuning with them, you can just put the stock ones back in and use the afpr to increase your base fuel pressure. This is a band-aid tactic that should't be treated as a permanent modification.

thanks that last one really helped. however the impression i get from everyone is that dsmlink is the way to go since i will have no problem with any injector size and any future up grades i plan on doing. thanks you guys are really helpful

You can run the t04b on stock injectors at around 10psi, I did. Your car will be slow, but it'll work :) I hope you have a logger though.

Right now I have 650's and tuning with the maf translator, but I couldn't get over knock and spool issues which I attribute to high timing, so I got a reprogrammed eprom. Haven't put it in yet, but I'll update when I do. Reprogrammed eprom is a cheaper solution than dsmlink ($110), and with a maf translator you have decent tunability, but not as good as dsmlink. So it's your call.
