no dash/ac lights

OK... i've done some searching...

I have a 2G (97) talon turbo and my dash lights and a/c lights (on the controls) went on me when I was installing my boost gauge (I shorted something).

My dash lights are always out and my flashers (left, right, hazard) go out occasionally. Not really sure why.

I checked the fuse labeled gauges but no luck. I also read that the dash is connected to the same fuse that the parking lights are on as well. I would check that fuse but after looking at the kick panes (drivers side) fuse cover and the under the hood fuse cover I can't find one labeled parking (parking lights, park, etc).

Any ideas? Anyone know where this fuse is? Anyone have other suggestions or things to check?

Ive done the same thing that you have, my problem was i had two open wires touching that bounced when i drove, but i had to search for the gash. good luck

I think the parking lights might be the turn lamp and/or back up lamp?

Your dash lights are on the Tail Lamp fuse in engine fusebox (along wth taillights). If that's not blown, check for blown dimmer control (unplug it and jumper the black/yellow to black - dash lights will work if it's blown).

I used a paper clip to jumper the black/yellow and black wires together at the harness (where it plugs into the dimmer) and "BINGO" lights were on. I just ended up cutting a small piece of paper clip just big enough to connect the two and electrical taped it in place. Who needs a dimmer switch?
