no boost, srs engine light, wastegate backfiring

the subject says it all. those are the three current problems. no boost (most likely boost leak..havnt checked yet), the srs check engine light is on and the wastegate backfires....ontop of the fact that the idle is horrible.

srs engine light ?
srs and engine have nothing to do with each other-
the dealer is the only one that can find out the cause. (unless you know the cause, ie. you unplugged an airbag) or do you just want to know how to shut it off ? (dont care about the SRS functioning)

oh well i did replace the steering wheel so that would make sense. so how do i shut it off? it sounds like the wastegate is backfiring. something is making a loud backfiring noise around that area.

would anything other than a boost leak cause no boost? like maybe the wastegate being improperly hooked up to the boost controller?

Wastegate backfire? Does the car sputter real bad when you are at WOT? or even half throttle? I aggree with the other posters, boost leak test first.

Maybe the wategate is stuck wide open that would explain a weird noise and no boost, maybe some thing to look into.
