Depends on how long you hit it for, but lets say your talking about a 1/4 mile run. I would say 15 times from a 10lbs bottle with a 50hp shot before you need to fill it up again.

Sorry if i can't spell guys, i'm kinda dumb sometimes, but could u guys please help with set up i should get, and maybe all the extra stuff i would have to get alone with it?

Not NX? I herd it was the best brand out. I'm not really looking for an easy install, i'v installed to kits already on my frineds cars, i'm just not really sure on what i should get on mine, on theres i just took what they bought and made it look and do what they wanted.

go with the zex wet kit........i heard its the safest and easiest to install :dsm:

Your talking in a nitrous forum and you "heard" something about nitrous. Please stick with topics you have first hand expereince on. When you reply to a post you see four rules. See #3? No Guesses - if you don't know, don't reply - don't spread misinformation (no "I think" or "I guess" or "I've heard").

Zex is not easier to install, it's all the same and it's not safer it just runs lower hp than the claimed shot which in thoery makes it safer, but defeates the purpose to a nitrous kit. I'm not trying to flame you just keep the info consitant here in the nitrous thread.

shaneyeend: If you have experience with Nitrous and are comfortable with it then an NX kit will serve you well. It's wet which makes more power, and is SAFER because it's not using your stock injectors to deliver the fuel. Dry kits liek ZEX pump your fuel pressure up which is a butcher way of adding fuel for a set amount of nitrous. I have had dry, wet and direct port kits so I am speaking from DIRECT experience with the product. Honestly that kit works very well on all non-turbo and turbo cars.

On the dyno in my own personal experience I have seen the 50hp shot make 52hp and 71ft/lbs of torque. Same results with the 100hp shot same hp and more torque. It's good and you'll be happy with it.

Which NX wet kit should i buy? Whats the Part #? and what kinda of things does it come with? example: purge kit

Jim, hopefully by now you do know Zex makes wet kits bud? :p NX or Zex is a good choice, as long as it's a wet kit.

Yeah I know, the reason why it's good and works so well is because they riped off NX's design LOL. My only gripe with the ZEX setup is they still put everything inside their magical little box. It's now, fuel nitrous and electronics all going though one box. Some reason that just doens't feel right to me. Besides NX solenoids have a lifetime warranty and you can send them in every year for a rebuild at no charge.

I'm just sick of hearing Zex is safer simply because their magazine advertising says so. I used to work in the magazine advertising field and believe me 90% of what is said is all B.S.

shaneyeend : THe NX setup your want is Stage One EFI kit for Imports. They are all pretty well the same so you'll get what you want asking for that. The Zex wet kit is also a good choice if you find it cheaper elsewhere, however my preference is still NX and I have worked extensivly with both.

well the zex kit is really easy to install if you know the wiring(ill tell ya). it was hard for me cuz i was trying to find out what goes where, but now that i know i could do it a million times over it seems so easy now. heres where i got my zex kit http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/prod/zex-82021 it got here in 4 days, free shipping, and was the cheapest i found. :thumb:

PS: DSMJim, dont be hating on Zex ;)

Sorry my bad. Zex is not a bad system, it is good. I have used them all and installed them all. I just prefer NX over all the other kits out there as an installer and end user. I have been to the dyno with Wet, Dry and Direct Port and let me tell you, they don't all make the rated power to the wheels. NX does and is the only one to guarantee it.

That alone is simply enough for me to buy it. I have personally expereinced 50hp gains on a 50hp shot. My NOS dry kit wasn't even close. Oh well, live and learn right?

haha i know its just funny how you get mad at people saying its the safest. Have you dynoed a Zex wet kit? what was the wheel hp on the 55, 65, or 75 shots?

thanks

Two more questions, with that NX kit, does it come with a "red Button" ? or does it kickin on its own? And lastly the manufacturers said to get the Gen-X upgrade kit, that sounds like a good idea, but i was wondering does the NX bottle warmer have an automatic temp check type deal? so it will turn on, on its own when the pressuser gets low and of when its high? also with this "upgrade" kit should i get the one with or with out the Purge Valve?

No button activation, thats not how nitrous kits work except in the movies. They are all controlled by an activation swtich which only turns on the kit, then a micro switch you put near the throttle body or attaching to the tps its self directly so it knows when your at WOT. It will be described in the manual for the kit you buy. The heater is automatic but can be setup manual if you want.

The Genx-2 with purge is my choice because I like the purge setup.

i'm sorry i must be retarted, i didn't understand your post, were u saying that it is or isn't push button spray?

nope its not, i thought the same thing cuz of... GULP... Fast and the Furious. there is an arming switch. you flip that and the system doesnt activate, it just arms. the system will activate when your pedal hits the floor at WOT. or, if you dont want to spray in first, you can flip the switch whenever you wish to start spraying, and if your at wot when you flip it, it will start spraying.
