I'm thinking about installing a wet kit on my buddies gsx. I'm thinking about getting the fuel right at the fuel filter. Does anyone know how much pressure is there if i cut the rubber line that goes to the fuel rail and tee into it?

The pressure will vary depending on boost or vacuum.. At idle you will probably see around 38psi and over 50psi depending on how much boost and what the base fuel pressure is. I suggest you get a fuel filter fitting like the one that comes with the B&M fuel pressure gauge kit for the dsm's. This way you don't cut the line, you can just add a 1/8npt to -4an fitting and run that to the nitrous fuel solenoid.

that b&m gauage adapter sounds great. but my nitrous kit says 40psi...what psi would i tune for?

You will be at about 40. It depends on what base pressure is set at. Thats what you get. The rising rate dosent matter. You are fine. The fuel filter is a good spot. If you want to run nice fittings just go to home despot and get a 1/8npt tee. Bu two barb fittings and a 1/8npt to whatever you want for your nitrous setup. You might need to go to napa for the an fitting. Home Despot dosent carry good 1/8 npt stuff but napa does.

really?i can just tap the fuel filter and go? like the rising pressure from boost doesnt matter? dam i wish i knew that a year ago haha. :thumb:

The nitrous is at a much higher pressure and doesn't need the pressure to rise like the fuel does. The fuel pressure needs to rise by 1lb for every lb of boost. If your fuel pressure is at 37lbs and you add 20lbs of boost, your fuel pressure should be 57lbs then. You will then have the same flow from the fuel nozzle at 57lbs with 20lbs boost as you would have at 37lbs and no boost.

900 psi of prerssure!

ok let me get this straight... my stock fuel pressure is lets say 43..and im running 16 pounds of boost so i would do 43+16=59 so now i just need to figure out what fuel jet for 59 pounds of fuel pressure right?

No, you size the jet according to your base fuel pressure. It will flow the same at 59lbs of fuel pressure with 16lbs of boost as it will at 43lbs fuel pressure and no boost.
