ok, im getting $ 4,000 back !! 1,500 is going to pay off bills, that leaves me with 2,500 !


what do you all suggest i get ?? i already have a Turbo timer / injen intake

iwas thinking::

1. thermal exhaust, ? downpipe, ? high-flow cat. that would be around 1,000
(am i missing another exhaust component? headers? o2?) it will all be 3"

2. Electronic boost controller, autometer gauges/ pod, rs BOV, greddy intercooler pipes?. about 1,000




have any suggestions.... im not spending all of it, some will go into savings THANKS!!

if your car really is an automatic either id convert it or buy a high stall TC............

Just have an exhaust shop make you a custom 3" turboback with a test pipe & Magnaflow muffler...Mine, total, was 200 for the whole thing, including muffler. (Also 126 for a Megan Racing downpipe that I got before I realized they could've just made me one for a lot cheaper).

Or spend a grand on your turboback..your choice!

I dont know your goals but this is what I think you could get the most power for the buck out of that cash...

Megan Racing Downpipe From Ebay: $120.00
Used Cat Back From Trader or Ebay: $500.00
FP t28: $600.00
Supra SMIC: $100.00
Walbro 255: $100.00
RC 550 Injectors: $200.00
SAFC: $300.00
Data Logging: $100.00

Thats $2020.00

You could buy hard piping or exchange the intercooler for a FMIC set up.

Also if you dont have the tools pay to have manifold and o2 ported...

Need to know your goals first though/

i know its expensive but i really wanted the THERMAL exhaust... i havnt heard anything sound better so far.


my goal is about 300-350 hp for now. but i wanna do it right, and dont mind paying more and saving up for a longer time to get Quality products where it counts.


MR downpipe is a nice price and looks like a great design, is it mandrel bent ?
what High-flow cat do you suggest ?

haha, i live in indiana. We are blessed with no emission laws whatsoever.

Ive never bothered even trying to research it because around here no one gives two shits.... some guys run on open downpipes around here...

My understanding however, very limited, feel free to correct me is they put some device behind your exahust and that tells them how much emissions there is. Theoretically you could fail with or without a cat it all depends on each car

If you want the Thermal get the Thermal exhaust. I have one and they are pretty badass. Once you get an exhaust system Id then probably look into a bigger turbo.

A high stall torque converter for an automatic will probably be one of the best mods you will ever do if you look into that.

Quick question. I heard that magnaflow and thermal are either the same company or same muffler, something along those lines. Anyone know if thats true? Meaning would the catback thermal sound the same as the catback magnaflow like the guys setup up above. If so he got a hell of a deal for 200, and if I were you I would go the same route and save a couple of hundred dollars.
