Ok so i have a 97 gst spyder, just got my greddy type s bov from ebay. When i got it i checked it out and it looked pretty good and solid. I took the old one out put the new one in.When i drove the car with the new bov my car would spike boost to 15psi sometimes? WHy? I dont have a mbc yet....it didnt come in could that be why? or is it the bov...? and another thing on the bov i unscrewed the top nut and then screwd it in lightly to set it for soft...but what i noticed what i couldnt screw it in more like when the nut cought a lil on the bov that was it....it wouldnt go down more...is that normal? and last but not least the little nipple thing thats on the bov that u hook up the hose to go back to the throtle body..how far do i screw it in cause if i screw it in all the way i feel like its touching the spring in the bov....but if i dont put it in all the way i feel like it will leak pressure. And this might be a noob questiong too but im new to this so bare with me...the hose from the throtle body to the bov nipple does that create the vacum for the bov to open?

What mods do you have done to your car. Is it an Ebay knock off or the real deal. I just adjusted my bov so it would stop fluttering. Your pretty close to me if you ever need some help give me a holler. Maybe one of your lines arent on good.

If you tapped the right hose on the intake manifold, yes, that is what it does. When the engine goes into vacuum, it opens the BOV. Did you disconnect the boost control solenoid on accident?
