Hello everyone, i just joined this site.
Today i bought a 96 GST.
has swapped turbo, japan tranny, stage 2 clutch, blitz bov, injen intake, 3'' stainless steel exhaust whole way through, AEM fuel management system, magnus manifold, and more.

Some of my questions are;

how much oil do i put in? (litres)
do/should i do anything to turbo or any parts to help keep them running?

Please help, also any other info/help/advice is greatly appriciated. I am new to the turbo scene. Thank you in advance!

First of all welcome to the site. Anyone on here will tell you before you do anything to a dsm mod wise, you need to do all of the maitanance first. Im not a 100% sure on the oil but If I remember corectly its 4.5 quarts (somebody correct me if im wrong). As for the turbo, pull of the intake and check for shaft play ( you can learn what shaft play by doing a search on this site). Also do a boost leak test, once again use the search function to learn how to do that if you dont know. That just my .02! Have fun with the GST they can be a pain sometimes but after some work they are well worth it. Also do you know what turbo was swaped, some pics will help us id it for you.

Step1: Get a Chilton's manual or an FSM ASAP.

Just remember that if you rag the car you're going to have to put in the wrench time to keep it in good shape. The car will be good to you if you are good to it.

Mechanics are still the same, NA or turbo charged.
Don't beat on when before it gets warmed up and try to learn how to handle the wheel hop :)

I think an oil change is 5 quarts. Thats standard on mostly every vehicle.
TRY to always use synthetic oil and a good oil filter.
Do all your maint. first before you go and put a huge fmic on and burn it up.
Like listed above a chiltons manual can become your new best friend.
I myself am learning that this forum is full up the ass of good ass write ups.
Have fun.:thumb:
