New Setup Q

Hi guys im new here.
I just got a 95 TSI AWD and im considering to do some moding on it.
here is the list:
16G Evo-3 GT Turbo PORTED
Tublar EX Manifold
Ported o2 Housing
BOV- Greddy Type-RS
MBC
3' Downpipe
3' GM MAF + Translator
Walbro 255
Custom 3' Intake and IC pipes
Short shifter

and here are the questions:
What is the diffrence betwin the China made 16G and the Taiwan made ?
how much Boost can i run with this mods (stock IC and injectors) ?
and just aprox how much HP will i gain (if some one has a similar setup) ?

I completely agree with this one. Do your research before you post questions like this, as they have been answered at least a thousand times before you.

Next to the Home button on the top of the screen, click on Tech Guide. This has a base of how you should modify your car. Turning up the boost isn't as simple as it seems. As a case and point, a friend of mine just blew his motor because he didn't do enough research / understand enough before he turned up his boost. On a stock SMIC/fuel, you should not run more than 13 psi on any type of turbo.

Please stay around the forums and read/learn before any considerations for serious modding. Your list has alot of unnecessary items and lacking other important ones. (need an fpr for the 255, tubular manifold isn't needed, more fuel mods are needed, will probably need an fmic). FYI stock injectors can handle 15psi.

Edit: Damn Tom, you beat me to it... 13psi, eh? In my very humble opinion 15psi is a-ok.

haha, I agree with you Mike. Notice I said stock FUEL, not just the injectors. With a non-rewired 190 pump, I ran 17 psi on my e316G on my stock injectors A bone stock fuel system would not be able to handle it.

You need to dive a little more deep into the search button, there is a HUGE thread ( I MEAN HUGE ) on the evoGT versus the MHI one. You will get a lot of mixed reaction, but read the thread and make your own decisions.

p.s., MHI FTW.
